Online individual and couples counselling

Sometimes face-to-face counselling isn’t practical. Perhaps you have childcare or work challenges, or maybe working online just feels more do-able. Online counselling offers relational depth and connection just like in-person therapy.

I offer online counselling for individuals and couples using secure video calls. The work we do together on a screen can feel just as powerful and personal as face-to-face would be. Many clients actively prefer online work – they say it feels surprisingly intimate and that they can open up more easily in their own space.

Online counselling works well for people dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, grief, stress, addiction, or simply wanting to understand themselves better. For couples, it can be particularly helpful if you’re in different locations during the week, have childcare constraints, or want the flexibility to fit sessions around your lives.

Online counselling can help you:

    • access therapy when in-room sessions difficult
    • fit counselling around work, caring responsibilities or travel
    • feel more comfortable opening up in your own environment
    • continue therapy if you move away from Bristol
    • maintain consistency and momentum in your work

Just like in-person therapy, this is deep work and requires commitment. I will encourage you to show up even when it’s hard, to bring all of yourself, and to stick with the process

So if you're ready to do the work and online sessions feel like the right fit, let's get started.

What to expect

We meet via secure video call at your scheduled time each week. You’ll need a quiet, private space where you won’t be interrupted, a stable internet connection, and a device with a camera and microphone (laptop, tablet, or phone all work fine).

The structure is the same as in-person work: we start with an initial session to see if we’re a good fit, then commit to weekly sessions for a minimum period.

After the session I suggest that you take a day or two to decide. To do this, I encourage you consult with your gut feeling as our intuition is a very good guide in these matters.

If we decide to proceed, then I will offer you a specific time and day for our weekly sessions. It’s important to maintain momentum so I don’t often recommend less than weekly meetings.

This is deep work, and so we need to take a little time – I suggest a minimum of 12 weeks, after which it’s up to you to decide when it’s right to end. I ask for at least a week’s notice though – it’s important to end our work mindfully.

Fee: individual counselling is £70, and couples counselling is £100. I have a limited number of concessionary places.
